The Burwell School Historic Site is pleased to present Vera Cecelski, site coordinator of Historic Stagville, as she provides insight into her work with local black families researching their roots, including those whose ancestors were enslaved. Special guest, the Honorable Judge Beverly Scarlett, will also be on hand to discuss her research into her own family history in Orange County, NC.
