URGENT NEED FOR REHOME

This is Scooby. He’s about 1.5-2 years old. He is a very sweet black mouth cur mix. I rescued him a few days ago from a neighborhood in Foley. He had been dumped in the area over 6 months ago, and had been living in a wooded area. He has some old wounds on his face, side, and neck from living in the streets. He is special needs at this time. He is skittish from being abused, and likely has never played with toys or been walked on leash prior to me getting him. In just a few days he has really shown a big difference. He just wants to be loved and snuggled, but he takes time warming up. He is great with kids and with cats and other dogs! The only reason I cannot keep him is due to sudden decline in my health. He needs someone that will be patient with him and understand he needs time to adjust before fully being himself. He is crate and house trained - he will whine if he is out of the kennel if he needs to go out to potty. I am asking a $50 rehoming fee, unless you are with a rescue, then no fee. He will come with a collar, leash, large bag of dog food, blankets, and some treats. I have noticed he does better with women, but he has warmed up to me( a man). It just took a few extra days for me as opposed to the women in the home.
