Shibori dyeing on Cotton fabric and Furoshiki lesson in collaboration with Guest Instructor/Transformation Consultant Tomoka Brabham
Shibori is the technique that dyes cotton using folds , gathering and even wood shapes clamp together to achieve interesting designs. We will dye two cotton furoshiki fabric squares.
Furoshiki is the Art of using a simple piece of fabric to wrap and carry things, it can be use for gift wrapping, home decor and as shopping bags, reducing plastic and paper waste. For this part of the workshop we have invited Tomoka Brabham, Transformation Consultant/Owner of A Tidy Transformation.
The cost of the workshop includes 2 cotton furoshiki, materials and instructions how to dye the fabric and demonstration on how to use it. Extra materials and accessories will be available for purchase.
Total cost of the workshop is $75.00, a fee of $15.00 due at time of registration in Eventbrite and the remainder $60.00 due at time of workshop.
Due to Covid 19, use of face mask is required during the entire workshop.
