YO-YO-YOOO!!! : seeking old-skool SKA/reggae DRUMMER and LEAD guitar. 1st wave Ska, Jamaican jazz influenced; Skatelites, Toots & the Mytals, old Marley standards with a new iteration/interpretation. We have a FIRE lead female vocalist, rhythm geetar, BASS, Keys & Sax configured/formed. Nashville converts + sum yokleLocals... Rehearsals 2-4x's per month @ up-stat studios Denver, Castle Rock & Colorado Springs. We all live on different City's on the front range but we have studio options in th aforementioned locations. Great networking opportunity- emotionally mature high vibes. GIGs for the "fun of it" but eventually PAID. Seeking advanced students-apprentice/semi professional/professional; must read form/lead sheets, improvise. However, we are NEWly formed and learning songs. Will provide full song list if interested; "Pearl" "Simmer Down" to provide a couple examples. Moreso doing OLD obscure "covers" versus originals. Current age range is 35-55. We won't discriminate @ age but we may not be fun for a 21-30 year old, regardless of talent or intrigue, just sayin. Most of us have teens/adult children- executive level day jobs. Not a party band with hard drugs or excessive drinking yada yada yada. Moreso interested in creativity and developing a super sweet social circle that loves the OLD SKOOL SOUNDS.
