Description

• Inspects and repairs Trucks, Trailers and support machinery • Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes • Replace and/or repair to air lines, brakes and all systems on trucks, trailers and support machinery as needed • Interprets diagnostic test results accurately • Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans • Presents reports and plans to Supervisor for approval • Advises Supervisor on repair options and costs • Completes yard test drives to make sure the vehicle runs correctly • Uses power, machine, and hand tools safely • Follows all FMCSA regulations for repair • Works with drivers and office personal, and has strong customer service skills in dealing with vendors. • Collaborates with other mechanics and has strong interpersonal skills • Demonstrates time management, organization, and problem-solving skills • Must be available on weekends
