This means $130,000 - $180,000 annual pay for those who have the skills to do the work once they become a Master Technician. Of course, we don't start out with the skills to be a top tech. Some people have the mechanical aptitude, and the grit it takes to endure the busted knuckles, dripping wet snow covered cars and aggravating engineering blunders the manufacturers make. If that is you we want to talk to you! Automotive technicians are a unique breed of people. We have to be a jack of all trades with a little engineering spark. We all learn by working with our hands, taking things apart to see how they work and imagining how to make them work better, faster or more efficiently. There are schools to "teach" us how to be a technician but it can only teach us the theory, we still need to experience it first hand.
