The Event The event begins at 5:30 pm with a welcome reception and a chance to mingle with community members and practitioners. The film starts promptly at 6 pm. An expert panel discussion and QA will follow the screening. Proceeds Benefit Endo Collective Endometriosis puts a burden on society of $119 billion each year in lost wages, lost productivity, and medical costs. Widespread misinformation surrounding this disease leads to delayed diagnosis and treatment. It takes an average of 10 years to receive a diagnosis. In those years, lives are broken and dreams are lost. Endo Collective’s Mission is to decrease the long delay to endometriosis diagnosis by advocating for and educating girls and women, health care providers, and the general public. Through their School Nurse Initiative, they strive to send a School Nurse Toolkit for Endometriosis to every school nurse in the United States. They will be sending 75+ kits to our local schools. "Nearly 100% of girls sent home or missing school due to painful periods have endometriosis. Front-line providers are uniquely positioned to recognize symptoms. This initiative provides the powerful narrative that builds that awareness." - Dr. Malcom Mackenzie, Harvard Medical School About The Film Shannon Cohn (Director/Producer); Hillary Rodham Clinton, Rosario Dawson, Corinne Foxx, Mae Whitman (Executive Producers) Through the personal & inspiring stories of four patients urgently searching for answers to mysterious symptoms, the film exposes widespread problems in our healthcare systems. From societal taboos and gender bias to misinformed doctors and profit-driven healthcare, the film reveals how millions are effectively silenced and how, by fighting back, they can improve healthcare for all people. Through its powerful, intimate storytelling, the film calls for a future where all girls and women have equal opportunities for education, fulfilling careers, family, and healthy, vibrant lives. It’s a tribute to the strength of women and a stirring message for better care. About Align PT Manual Physical Therapy and Mindbody Studio Align PT is located at 2919 17th Avenue in Longmont.
