As part of the Newport News city-wide 2023 One City Marathon celebration, you can join other animal lovers by learning about volunteer activities at the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter. Help the animals at PRAS get adopted by providing them with physical exercise and mental enrichment. Are you interested in fostering an animal at home? What about taking them for a walk? Perhaps even spending an afternoon with a shelter dog by taking them on an "ExPAWdition" around the city! Join us for this special "Marathon Monday" event at the animal shelter for an information session on all the opportunities available for volunteers, get a tour of the facility, and probably even pet a few of the animals!
