Le Bistro presents our second installment of #GivingTuesday as part of the national initiative to give back and do good. Tuesday, January 31st we will donate 15% of dine-in and carry out sales from lunch & dinner service to the Michael Maddox Cancer Sux Scholarship Fund. Michael Maddox is Dakota’s dad. “The Michael Maddox Cancer Sux Memorial Scholarship exists to honor Michael’s determination and spirit that shined through during his courageous battle against cancer. This scholarship was created by us, his family, shortly after his passing with our mission to honor the overwhelming impression he left on so many. His overall demeanor and attitude on life was a gift to us all and is one we would like to return. Michael adored the relationships he had with people and would be pleased, and in a bit of disbelief, that this scholarship was created to carry on his legacy. He would, however, be accepting and proud of the difference made in a young person’s life. The scholarship will be awarded to at least one Hurricane High School student to aid in their higher education, starting in 2023. With your assistance, we can have a positive impact on the futures of so many young lives striving for greatness.” It’s simple!
