Join us in a lecture/demonstration with horologist Stephen Sieracki, the "Dysfunctional Clock Therapist," as he explains some mysteries of three 18th and early 19th century clocks in the Hammond-Harwood House collection. See these clocks up close and learn about their distinctive features. What's the clock in the little house? Why does an English clock have a Spanish inscription? What is the small case clock made up of old parts and a forged signature? Steve will provide insights to the secrets of these clocks and what's "in" and what's "out" in the clock fashion world. Have an old or unusual clock? Bring pictures from your phone and Steve will try to identify them and discuss common myths and misconceptions about clock maintenance.
