Carnaval in Matazlán, Mexico, is the third largest carnival in the world, behind Rio de Janiro and New Orleans! The theme of the 2023 Carnival in Mazatlán is: Dejavu, Dreams of a Carnival (Dejavú, Sueños de un Carnaval). 2023 is the 125th anniversary of the first Carnival in Mazatlán in 1898!
