Miss Carnaval Miami has a 41-year history of celebrating bright, vibrant, passionate, community-minded, health-conscious, and articulate Hispanic women in the U.S.A. Embodying the passion of the Kiwanis of Little Havana organization with an emphasis on leadership beyond the role bestowed upon them. Past Miss Carnaval Miami winners have gone on to become positive role models for young women in the South Florida community and beyond, serving as award-winning journalists, successful entrepreneurs, attorneys, medical professionals, and more. Through Miss Carnaval Miami, young women between the ages of 16-26 compete for educational scholarships and the opportunity to participate in a year-long community-based program centered on serving the South Florida community at large. The program includes philanthropic initiatives, community engagement, working as mentors with young girls, and working closely with Crowns of Love, as well as the opportunity to represent South Florida at the Miss Florida USA competition. Judges select the winners based on character, community service, career objectives, and poise. Miss Carnaval Miami and her court embody the Carnaval Miami spirit by becoming goodwill ambassadors of the festival, actively participating in community service projects, and closely aligning with our sponsoring partner brands.
