Sorry for the long post but PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY BEFORE CONTACTING ME!! NOT FOR SALE!!!!! Hi! I just adopted a 3 year old intact male Saint Bernard late last night and he is about 150-200 lbs. I want him to become my service dog if possible but I am seeking a dog trainer to help me with his current issues as follows... -Leash pulling -Barking at people but not dogs or other animals -Crate control (Barking in a cage if he sees a stranger) -Basic commands such as a consistent lay, stay, come, heel if possible, center if possible, He already knows sit. -Come in the house without a fight -Watch me command and have his focus strictly on me and nothing else including sniffing objects. More advanced training I would like is... -Get into the bathtub with no fight...I had to give him a bath outside with the hose which he was very good for even the blow drying but on cold days, I prefer the bathtub. -Public access training(I plan on taking him to petsmart and lowes/home depot for training in the meantime) No, he is not my first St. Bernard rather my 4th but he IS the first one I got as an adult. I have PTSD so that is what I hope to train him for but I need the above training done first. I know training can get expensive but I am hoping that someone has the time to work with Beethoven and I one on one for no cost at this time. My husband is working on getting a primary job that pays better than his last. I know there are good people out there with good hearts willing to work with people in dire need of a dog trainer that cannot afford one. PLEASE if you are one of these rare few individuals that can work with me 1/2 hour to an hour for at LEAST 3 days a week, feel free to call or text me at Pics are for attention.
