30y Heavy metal guitarist seeking band / project

I’m a guitarist that’s been playing consistently for around 2 years. I’ve only played in one other band doing SOAD covers but it sort of dispersed. I’m really into playing Thrash / Black / Death metal. Some of my favorite bands are Metallica, Sabbath / Ozzy, Death, Bathory, Maiden, Amon Amarth, Killswitch, Dark Throne, Machine Head, Ghost… and about a million others lol My lead playing okay, I can get through the puppets solo, and some other simple solo’s, but my knowledge of theory is kind of basic. I put time towards scales / the fretboard but it’s a work in progress. Gear-wise: I have multiple guitars, pedals, and a full digital Neural DSP setup. I’ve been dabbling a bit with recording with Reaper. Right now I’m working on recording a Necromansy - Bathory cover. I’m overall pretty introverted and work a lot / with multiple responsibilities. So I’d really like to find a group that takes things sort of seriously, and who doesn’t mind working out some kinks. I’ve not really played much with other musicians so it’s hard to judge my skill against others, but I really enjoy playing and i’m trying to become the best I can be. Thanks!
