NORTH BAY, CA — U.S. Rep. Jared Huffman invites constituents of his district, which encompasses the cities of Petaluma, Healdsburg and Windsor, and stretches along the Northern California coast from Marin County north to the Oregon border, to attend a virtual town hall Tuesday According to a statement from the congressman's office, Huffman will host the event live from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, and "will respond to questions and provide a report on last week's assault on the Capitol and Congress during the certification of the electoral college results. Topics will include the 25th Amendment, articles of impeachment, Capitol Police readiness, holding rioters and those who incited violence accountable, as well as ways to ensure a peaceful transfer of power." "This was a traumatic week for our country, and I know you all have questions about what happened and what's next," Huffman said in a social media post announcing the virtual town hall. The congressman's topics of discussion will include the 25th Amendment, articles of impeachment, Capitol Police readiness, holding rioters and those who incited violence accountable, as well as ways to ensure a peaceful transfer of power, according to Huffman's Office.
