Description
‘Heavy Metal’ Sound Bath to Activate Your Inner Wisdom & Healing In the early 1980’s, a biologist at the French National Center for Scientific Research in Paris, Helene Grimal, and Fabien Maman, a bioenergeticist and composer, experimented with the effects of sound waves on healthy cells and cancer cells. They discovered that the right sound waves literally exploded cancer cells while energizing healthy cells. In their experiments, sound waves from playing a gong for twenty-one minutes caused cancer cells to disintegrate. Beyond just disintegrating cancer cells, the sound waves from the gong creates a meditative and deeply relaxing state, which lowers the blood pressure and reduces anxiety, depression, insomnia, and chronic pain. In a Gong Bath, the gong creates an ocean of sound waves that penetrate our cells with vibrations which calm the body and the mind, bringing both into harmony. It creates a state in which the parasympathetic nervous system is activated, which resets the nervous system to a state of wellness where self healing naturally occurs. __________________ Friday, January 27, at 7pm, Tom and I will be giving a Gong Bath. The didgeridoo, crystal bowl, Tibetan singing bowl and a few other instruments will be brought in for added bliss, but the main feature will be four large gongs washing gentle but powerful sound waves over you to activate your inner wisdom and healing. __________________ What to Expect: Please arrive by 6:45pm so we can begin on time. We will begin with easy practices to get our bodies and minds ready to receive the highest benefits from the gong. We will do some gentle movement and group connection to get comfortable. After this, you will lie on a mat (let us know if you prefer to sit so we can accommodate you) and receive powerfully healing sound waves for 60 minutes. There will be a period of sweet silence and stillness when the sound vibrations stop. This allows time for your body and mind to soak it all in and recalibrate to being relaxed and deliciously alive. Then you can slowly begin to move and sit up, feeling renewed. There will be time to share and connect. _________________ When: 7-9pm, Friday January 27th Please arrive by 6:45 to find a spot and settle in, doors close at 7pm. Where: Our living room Sound Temple 5420 SW Idaho Street, Portland What to bring: Blankets and pillows to make yourself a cozy nest, eye mask if desired _________________ “Aiyana, you’re like an angel. And Tom, I don’t even have a word for what you are, but that was the best sound bath I’ve ever experienced!” Thérèse Schwenkler
