Description

Join Pelvic Floor Specialist Jennifer Miles PT, owner of Miles Pelvic Therapy in Bend for an evening of fun and learning in the 2nd evening of a 3 part women’s health workshop series. Society likes to pressure us to have tight abs, and a slim waist. What if the message was different? What if we were told that having a strong abdominal wall and a good breathing strategy would affect our health in sooooo many positive ways. What if we were told that if we spent a couple of minutes a day on our abdominal wall and breathing strategy that we would avoid back pain, avoid leaks, decrease stress, improve digestion, increase circulation, and the list goes on and on. The center of our body has a large roll in managing pressure (every time we cough, laugh, pick up a box). It also plays a big roll in holding us up all day (sitting, standing, working out, picking up your baby). The more we are in tune with this area…..the more we can coordinate movements all day without thinking about it. In night two of the Miles Pelvic Therapy educational series, we will discuss abdominal anatomy, abdominal strength, diastasis recti, breathing strategies and how these all may affect pelvic floor symptoms or future symptoms. ********** Jen will complete a free diastasis check for those interested before class, so come early and shop and get an ab check if interested. ************ There will be coupons from Title 9 and a Miles PT discount for attending. Please bring curiosity, questions, and friends.
