Truist Bank, Equality Florida and Tidewell Foundation are coming together to help LGBTQ participants make estate planning decisions that are best for them. The tone of the event is upbeat and empowering.
The seminar grew out of documented concern that many LGBTQ individuals avoid or delay end-of-life planning decisions because preferences about how their estate should be managed or how their dying wishes should be met may be complicated by uncertainty about personal, family or even legal issues.
The program will address concerns and misperceptions around both long-term estate planning as well as purposeful end-of-life decisions that affect individuals and families. Participants will leave with tools and information to help guide current and future decision-making.
The seminar will open with a cocktail reception, followed by a panel discussion and question-and-answer session, at 5 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Sarasota Yacht Club.
