Join Boulder Office of Emergency Management for our Disaster Strong Preparedness Series, Train-the-Trainer edition! This series is intended for participants who want to support preparedness efforts in the Boulder County community by becoming Community Preparedness Ambassadors who work to teach community peers the essentials of disaster preparedness. There's no need to have any prior knowledge of disaster preparedness - this series will equip participants with all the info they'll need to successfully facilitate the preparedness content to peers by covering emergency notification information, how to conduct a personal risk assessment, creating a plan, and facilitation skills. Participants should bring a method for notetaking (notebook and writing utensil, laptop, etc.), and will leave with a copy of our Disaster Strong Facilitator Guide as well as with access to our Community Preparedness Ambassadors webpage which contains all preparedness content, and ways to connect with your fellow trainers!
