Silent Images is excited to relaunch Women in Focus, a monthly gathering to create awareness of pressing social issues impacting our city or world. The evening includes a short film screening followed by discussion with a local topic expert(s). The first event will focus on the mental health of our children and teens. Melody Carr (Butler HS counselor) and Ginny Schmidt (Covenant Day School Lower School Counselor) will be our speakers. Our upcoming gatherings will focus on: Sunday Feb 26 - Mental Health Sunday March 26 - Foster care Sunday April 23 - Micro-financing We look forward to seeing you at our host site - Brakeman's in downtown Matthews - for coffee, pastries and awareness raising conversations. Registration is required as space is limited to 50 women. We hope you'll invite a friend! Note: Women in Focus is NOT a fundraiser. However, when relevant, volunteer and support opportunities will be shared.
