COURSE SUMMARY Students that attend this course are eligible for critical care endorsement by the State of Tennessee. In addition to classroom instruction, each student will be required to participate in clinical rotations. The course includes more than 150 classroom and clinical hours. MANDATORY MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Two (2) years of experience as a Tennessee licensed paramedicBackground check with a "Green" or "Pass" score within 90 days of the clinical.Current certification in: -Basic Life Support (BLS) - Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Advanced Trauma course in Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) COURSE MEETING DATES/ TIMES MARCH 1st, 8th, 16th, 22nd, and 28th, 2033 April 6th, 12th, 19th, and 27th, 2023 May 3rd, 10th, 18th, 25th, and 30th, 2023 From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Clinicals: June 18th and 16th, 2023 Testing: The last 2 weeks of June, 2023 LOCATION Dyersburg State Community College - Jimmy Naifeh Center-- Covington, TN Baptist Memorial Academic Building, Rm 136 COST: $1,450 per student The cost for the course is $1,450. Fees not covered in the course include an $80 testing fee and the cost of the two-step TB skin test, MMR vaccine, Varicella vaccine, Hep B vaccine, Rubella vaccine, Tetanus, and health insurance.
