Hello I am an experienced seizure alert dog trainer and I have just started an advocacy group, Sweet Pup Pets Epilepsy Advocacy Group here in Michigan. Many families that deal with epilepsy cannot afford a dog which may greatly improve their lives, reducing the morbidity and mortality of seizures. We seek to find qualified candidates that would like to apply for a guaranteed free service dog which will be either paid for by health insurance or by a donor fund from private benefactors. I ask that anyone who applies allows us to advocate for them with their insurance company before we begin the fundraising process. This means meeting with me and making phone calls, possibly including allowing me to use their information in grants that I submit around the state to fund the dog's training. This is a comprehensive program to increase the quality of life of those with epilepsy here in Michigan.
