Description
Hello! My name is Jack and I am seeking to hire someone for a bit of an odd job. I have recently purchased an older model vehicle (2002 Saturn SL2). I am a full-time delivery driver and use the car as my work transportation so although it is not very valuable, it is very important to me. Most of the frame and structural components are still in relatively good shape. I do most all the maintenance/repair work on the vehicle myself and have it tuned up and running well. However I have recently encountered an issue that is beyond my skill/knowledge to repair and am looking for someone who may be willing to carry out this fix in return for fair compensation.
WHAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED: The trailing arm on the passenger’s side rear tire has become severed at its connection point with the frame due to rust. Because of this, the passenger’s rear wheel kind of floats and makes knocking noises as it goes over bumps in the road. The disconnection has just recently occurred so there appears to be enough good metal still remaining to weld or screw in a brace that would reestablish a connection between the trailing arm and the frame. I CAN SEND PICS OF THE RUSTED AREA IF NEEDED.
It does not need to be perfect nor pretty, only functional. I do not believe this would be a very large job for someone with the equipment and skill to weld or do even minor rust repair.
Larger auto body shops have turned me away because of the liability involved with frame repair work. However I can assure you I have no intention of holding anyone responsible for what happens after the work is done. I simply want to have my car structurally solid again. Please call or text if interested and we can discuss it more if you like.
