Hello, We are currently looking for a new home for our cat, Leo. He is 2 years old and is up to date on shots. Leo was a rescue when he was a kitten, someone unfortunately left him and his siblings on the side of the road. We believe this was very traumatic for him, so he’s always had some anxiety. He’s very sensitive to loud noise (thunder, loud wind, ext.) Because of his anxiety we believe he would be best rehomed to someone without children or who have older children who aren’t so loud. Because of his anxiety, he did end up getting a uti a few months ago that he has been treated for. He did struggle for a while going outside of his litter box because of this but we believe that he had since recovered from his fear of going in it. But because of this and his anxiety (which can possibly cause reoccurring utis) he will need an owner who is patient with him. The reason we are looking to rehome him is because we have 2 young children and we believe they cause him a lot of stress and want him to be in a more comfortable environment. His vet recommended at his last check up to put him on long term anxiety meds but we unfortunately cannot afford his medicine at this time. We want him to have a more comfortable, anxiety free home.
