PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Porters are the backbone of the Dealership. They help us live our Mission daily by assisting the store to maintain a clean and consistent environment thus ensuring we greatly exceed our customers expectations. Understands that our facility is a representation of who we are and strives to make it look the best it possibly can. Constantly works to improve systems and processes that will bring value to our customers and team through cleaning, organization, and massive action. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the warehouse and storage environment to our high standards. This includes protecting against theft, safely storing units to protect from damage. Properly schedule the day to assist the technicians to increase efficiency by pulling units and parts before they are needed Complete a daily walk of the yard and ensure all units are stored or locked as needed to minimize theft. Cleaning of the warehouse, setup area, storage areas, and parking areas. Taking out trash, organization and general clean up. Use company vehicles to transport units safely and timely while accurately tying down units for safe transport Operate fork Lift as needed Wash bikes Empty outside trash cans Empty Shop trash cans Pick up trash on Store grounds daily Clean up around dumpster Wash pick ups Wash front windows Clean entry mats Paint Power broom patio and lot Mow grass and weed eat lot Friday Clean restrooms and showroom Cut up wood crates and put in dumpster as needed Help set up bikes Help in parts dept take boxes to recycle bin, empty trash Spray weeds Shovel snow Clean gutters monthly Replace furnace filters every 90 days Track cleaning supplies and make Walmart run Assist when asked to help. Touch base with Spencer to get daily priorities QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Employees must be able to understand the duties of his position and perform them without being told. Employees must be able to understand what the standards are for a clean work environment as well as what constitutes a clean vehicle that is going to be delivered to a customer. Must be able to drive a truck and trailer in the event that a unit must be physically delivered to the customer and approved by our insurance company. The team member must understand that oftentimes they are the first face a customer may see as they check their unit into our service department. The team member must be courteous and professional in their attire, hygiene, and when interacting with customers. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequent standing, walking and sitting The ability to continually engage and interact with others, employees throughout the work day via method of communications phone. Occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs Occasional pushing of up to 100+ lbs WORK ENVIRONMENT: Occasional exposure to changes in temperature and humidity Frequent working with and around others Occasional work around mechanical parts Noise level is low to high
