We adopted a "toy poodle" puppy from here, taking a chance because I have gotten toy poodles from Craigslist postings in the past with never an issue. We were sent pictures of the "parents" of the puppies and told that they were full toy poodle. The puppy, while we love her, is NOT a toy poodle. She may have a little toy poodle in her, but the rest is something else that sheds and is not at all poodle. Well played. I questioned in the beginning whether she was a toy poodle, but when you get one at 8 weeks old, they do not represent what they will be when growing. Her ears are now standing straight up, she is fuzzy all over and reminds me of part Pomeranian, Pekingese, or Yorkie. Unfortunately, my partner is severely allergic to shedding dogs, so we will have to come up with something to be able to keep her. Also, when we got her, we were told she was already eating food, she was not and ended up in the Vet hospital for 2 days because she would not eat or drink anything. Fortunate for her, we knew what to do, but not until it cost us almost $700 in immediate Vet bills. Many people would not be prepared for this, but we knew this going into getting a puppy. Luckily, she's very lovable, but you should be honest in your posting.
