Join The Bear Mountain for a bikepacking trip over the gravel roads from Waco to Meridian State Park on April 15th & 16th! We will meet at China Spring Elementary before riding to Meridian State Park to camp. Don't want to carry all your gear with you? No problem! We will load anyone's gear into our van and transport it to the park for you! Dinner, breakfast, and snacks will be provided. Got something specific you want to eat? Bring it! First time bikepacking? Join us for our clinic on March 30th to learn about all the ins and outs of bikepacking. You don't want to miss this! Things to consider: Weather: We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the trip due to inclement weather. Rain can greatly affect water levels in the area, causing the route to potentially become unsafe.Gear: We will be riding on rough gravel roads for much of this route. Either a gravel bike or a hardtail mountain bike will be the most effective form of transportation in order to keep you safe and your gear working properly. Fitness: Please be aware of your fitness levels prior to the ride. We will be riding approximately 40 miles on Saturday and Sunday.
