This event is geared to adults and homeschool teens. To celebrate African American History month we will read and discuss the works of essential African American poets. We will read and talk about: Langston Hughes-Theme for English B; Gwendolyn Brooks-The Children of the Poor; and Maya Angelou- And Still I Rise. Patrons are encouraged to bring their own favorite poems by African American writers to share and discuss with the group. No cost for program. If Eventbrite is full please call the library, space may still be available.
