City Wide Facility Solutions is seeking a candidate to clean multiple buildings in a territory (Nassau, Western Suffolk, Queens & Brooklyn Counties), and work with the account manager on resolving customer issues. As a City Wide Cleaning Technician, you will develop and maintain productive working relationships with janitorial service providers, communicate with the account manager any issues that need immediate attention, make recommendations of service providers for work assignments, and inspect buildings. In the buildings you will be cleaning, you will be responsible for inspecting, organizing,, and maintaining a schedule as well as ensuring other janitorial service providers are properly and consistently executing contracted Scope of Work with quality service. The Cleaning Technician will be driving to different accounts within the territory area and assisting in special projects. This is an evening shift position and requires flexibility. Typical hours will be 5:30pm to 12:30am. City Wide is a privately held company that emphasizes a dedication to serving others with excellence in all we do. Duties, Functions & Responsibilities • Work with janitorial crews and provide training as needed • Inspect premises to ensure all required work is completed to our standards • Work with account manager to investigate/resolve customer complaints • Take periodic inventories of janitorial supplies, submit orders and restock when needed. • Provide occasional VIP or emergency janitorial services • Perform electrostatic disinfecting services • Light handyman duties such as installing bathroom dispensers, carpet spot removal, tile scrub, installing/replacing floor matting, floor care, and other services as needed by our clients is a plus • Experience with burnishing and a swing buffer as well as an auto scrubber Preferred Qualifications: • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment • Excellent communication skills • Energetic, hard-working, dependable, and detail-oriented • Previous building, facility, or service management experience a plus • Light handyman duties such as installing bathroom dispensers, carpet spot removal, tile scrub, installing/replacing floor matting, floor care, and other services as needed by our clients is a plus • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Requirements: • Must have a VALID DRIVERS LICENSE • Prompt, regular attendance • 6 months of related experience and/or training • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and procedure manuals • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence • Ability to communicate and motivate in a positive manner regarding quality control and corrective action • Issue / complaint / conflict resolution and communication skills • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) • Solid understanding of basic business math
