Semi-professional bassist looking for a new part time gig. Currently playing in a band with several older guys and while the tunes are great, its not quite the energy I'm looking for as I'm in my 30s and am the youngest in the band by roughly 25 years. About Me: 30+ years of music experience (been playing music since I was 5 and play multiple instruments including keys, guitar, and some brass) 20+ years playing electric bass 10+ years of upright bass Trained in and understanding of theory (Can speak "music") Can sightread tab and charts (I can read staff but sightreading on demand is tough) Ability to play rock, pop, hip hop, R&B, blues, punk, ska, metal, jazz, funk, jam. Bass Influences include: Jaco Pasotious, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, Keith Mosely, Stanley Clarke, Joe Dart, and an exhausting list of others. Prefer to play dance music like funk/disco, hip hop and pop. EDM or Hip Hop producers/rappers would be well advised to reach out to me if looking to form a live backing band. I have solid gear including multiple electric basses and analog effects. Can build rig to include live performance through DAW and MIDI controller as well. I also sing both lead and backing vocals.
