Small Engine Mechanic

Description

We are looking for a small engine mechanic for our very busy indoor air conditioned shop Qualifications •Experience working with small engines, two-stroke and four-stroke •Ability to write diagnosis and work completed on routine reports (repair orders) •Knowledge of small engines •Ability to use computer and various types of diagnostic equipment •Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals •Ability to lift 60 lbs Responsibilities •Diagnose problems and determines what repairs are needed •Many jobs will include repair of small engines including: chainsaws, edger’s, blowers, trimmers and other small engines •Skills in disassembly, assembly, and repair of components and machines •Performs all service tasks •Prepares all forms (detail of work performed on repair orders) required in conjunction with job assignments to be entered into our computer system •Report any additional work required on equipment to customers, for proper and safe operation •Participates in all training programs •Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion •Brings to the attention of the Service Manager any shop tools or equipment, that is not in a serviceable condition or is unsafe to use •Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment •Provide assistance to Department Specialists, i.e •Operate forklift with proper training Benefits •Employee Discount •Closed/off on Saturday and Sundays
