Job Summary: We are seeking a hardworking and reliable paint technician to join our team. T-Quip is one of the largest used equipment dealers and rental companies on the East Coast. Our T-Quip paint techs refinish damaged body parts and bodies of heavy-duty equipment. Job Duties & Responsibilities: • Operate and use all shop equipment properly and safely • Remove rust from metal, and grease and first from equipment • Mask and protect parts that are not to be painted • Fill cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surfaces • Mix paint according to specifications • Paint equipment using sprayer or brush as appropriate • Keep work area clean and maintain tools • Cooperate and assist in repair and prep of equipment Job Skills & Requirements: • Physical fitness and stamina: may need to stand up for long periods of time, lift heavy materials or work in small and cramped spaces (e.g., underneath equipment) • Organization skills: will need to ensure that jobs are completed before the deadline and ensure that all paint is kept tidy and in order • Attention to detail: noticing issues in paint work requires someone who can notice the smallest scratches and imperfections • Dexterity: may have to paint detailed or small items requiring a steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Company Benefits: • Health Insurance • Dental Insurance • Paid Time Off • 401K Retirement Plan
