Description
Participants Needed for Nighttime Research Study
The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (VTTI) is seeking healthy adults, aged 18 to 65, with normal vision to participate in a research study in Bourbonnais, Illinois. The study involves a remote intake session via Zoom, and an experimental session in which you would ride in the passenger seat of a vehicle traveling along Interstate 57. The intake session is expected to take approximately 15-25 minutes, and the experimental session is expected to take approximately 1 hour at night.
Participants will observe the roadway lighting at several interchanges along Interstate 57 and provide their opinions of the lighting by completing questionnaires using a tablet computer. A trained experimenter will drive the vehicle and be present throughout the entirety of the session. This is a paid research study and participants will be compensated for full participation.
