Description

Focus Groups are getting more attention in today's fast-changing world, as they can be an efficient way to get a pulse on preferences for communities of members, citizens, donors or customers. Focus groups tend to be smaller and more conversational gatherings (10-12 people, give or take) with a facilitator guiding the discussions, which might move through several different topics. From probing satisfaction levels for current offerings to capturing wish list items for future innovations, when designed well, focus groups help organizations keep in lock-step alignment with preferences for the communities they serve. Donna Kastner has been successfully facilitating focus groups for more than 20 years and this continues to be the most lucrative category for her consulting business. In this free workshop, Donna will open her playbook to share tips & tools to help you do the same, be it in a volunteer or income-generating capacity. We'll move through a typical Focus Group Facilitator's journey, from preparing the discussion guide and recruiting participants to strategies for leading fruitful discussions, dodging sidebars and assembling a concise and powerful report with key takeaways that the host organization will appreciate. For those looking to earn part-time income, Donna will also share a few observations about pricing. Much like a focus group, participation in this free workshop is limited to 12 people and registration is required. Questions? Please contact Donna at [email protected]
