Join Kayla Barthelme, herbalist, farmer, gardener and all around plant lover for a beginner level class to learn about the healing properties of plants. In this 2 hour lecture and discussion style class we will cover some of the most common methods of making herbal remedies including teas, tinctures, herbal oils and salves. We will discuss the healing properties of common herbs that you may already have in your garden or are growing naturally in your area. You will have the opportunity to interact with herbal products from my apothecary, sip on freshly brewed herbal teas and deepen your relationship with medicinal plants. Demystify the art of herbalism and gain the confidence to harness the healing power of plants. No experience is necessary to begin learning about medicinal plants, all are welcome to this beginner level class. *Snacks will be provided, guests are welcome to bring their own wine or purchase a glass from the restaurant next door.
