Do you enjoy physical work and being outside in nature? Redpath Gardens is looking for skilled and creative gardeners to join our staff to assist with garden maintenance and new garden installations. Employee's ideas are encouraged and honored in a fun and creative environment. We have two positions available either full or part-time. We are a high-end residential estate gardening business with most of our customers located around Lake Minnetonka, Eden Prairie and Edina. Our work is creative, fun and inspiring and we enjoy creating beautiful spaces and experiences for our clients. Compensation is based on experience starting at $22.00 per hour. We create beautiful space and experiences for clients and require our employees to be fully engaged in that goal. This opportunity includes paid sick time, gas reimbursement, tshirt/uniform, and paid lunch! • Work involves design, installation and maintenance of large scale annual & perennial gardens, container and window box and seasonal change outs • High attention to detail with good communication skills • Physically fit with the ability to lift 30-40 lbs, stand and kneel for long periods of time • Work in all types of weather conditions and enjoy physical labor • Must be comfortable & able to use small power tools, including rototillers, back blowers and trimmers • Skills & Education required for this position include: a degree in horticulture or related field and/or 1-2 years of work experience in a similar role. • Must be 18 years of age • Must have drivers license and reliable transportation to get to several clients per shift KEY INGREDIENTS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION • Enjoy being outside and doing physical labor • Enjoy creating beautiful spaces and experiences for yourself and our clients • Have an attitude of learning & sharing ideas • Flexible and understanding, dealing with mother nature is unpredictable • Working as a partner with other staff members & see your co-workers as a community of gardeners with similar interests and abilities • Be engaged and contributing to our work environment in a positive way • Being trustworthy, responsible, & respectful to our clients.
