Get ready to learn! Our January Educational Mixer will cover an overview of charity walks and runs including budget, brand, and safety considerations. This is an interactive session - bring your questions! Our presenter for the evening, Rancy Accetta, is the founder of Run Tucson. Location: Community Foundation for Southern Arizona 5049 E Broadway Blvd #201 Conference Room C Tucson, AZ 85711 ---- Our Presenter, Randy Accetta: Randy Accetta is a long-time Tucsonan, moving here in 1993 to pursue a PhD in English at the University of Arizona. After many years on the Board of the non-profit Southern Arizona Roadrunners, Randy and his wife Tia founded Run Tucson with the mission of making Tucson better through running. Run Tucson directs some of Arizona’s most popular events, including the TMC Meet Me Downtown 5k Night Run, the TMC A-Mountain Half-Marathon, the Grand Canyon Trail Half Marathon, Saguaro Labor Day 8 Miler,and more. Randy was a founding member of FEATSAZ and is a past-president of Greater Tucson Leadership. As co-founder of Meet Me Concepts along with Jannie Cox and Dave Syverson, LLC, Randy and Tia have helped create Tucson's exciting blend of physical fitness and economic health in our vibrant Downtown Tucson. Randy is the Director of Coaching Education for the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA), directing the national coaching certification program, but when not doing running things, Randy is the Lusch Mentor in Residence at the renowned McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Arizona. He was named the 2022 Entrepreneurship Teacher of the Year, and has twice been awarded the Eller College Teacher of the Year. Most recently he was a featured presenter at the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers annual convention. --- Health Precautions: Masks are not mandatory at this event, especially if you are vaccinated.
