The Truck Mechanic/Technician will be responsible for completing work orders that have been identified on post trip inspections. Ankeny Sanitation is a locally owned and operated waste collection provider that services residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Job Benefits & Perks: • Health insurance • Paid time off • Life insurance • Safety bonus • Opportunity for growth Job Duties: • Repair issues identified after post trip inspections, such as replacing lights, hydraulic hoses, or tires • Carry out planned service on trucks, such as servicing brakes or completing oil changes • Complete repairs on the road occasionally if a truck in unable to return to the shop Job Requirements: • 2+ years of experience working on commercial moving vehicles/trucks • Ability to bring own tools (there is a community box) • Proficiency with basic truck maintenance (brakes, tires, hydraulic hoses, lights, etc) Ankeny Sanitation is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and a large supporter of affirmative action.
