A to Z Radon Solutions is hiring for the position of radon mitigation technician. We specialize in the testing and mitigation of radon gas in homes and businesses in southeast Nebraska. The radon mitigation technician is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of radon mitigation systems. The installer shows and explains the components of the system to the customers after the completion of the system. This position requires flexibility, strong time management, problem-solving, and the ability to work in all types of weather conditions. Primary Duties • Installation or modification of radon mitigation systems including: • Perform initial walk-through evaluations with the customer • Drive company pickup with a trailer to and from job sites • Install mitigation materials; run PVC pipes for ventilation and install fans • Post-installation testing and diagnostics of systems after successfully passing state licensing requirements • Represent the company in a professional and positive manner • Provide great customer service and satisfaction • Document job details in accordance with company policy • Ensure job site areas are clean and free of any leftover debris before leaving the site Physical Demands and Work Environment • This job operates primarily in a field environment and routinely requires walking, crouching, climbing ladders, and lifting equipment • The job requires good physical health and the ability to perform hands-on construction work • The job requires working in crawl spaces, attics, and on roofs • Ability to use power tools safely and properly Skills/Abilities: • 1+ plus year construction or building maintenance preferred • Exceptional verbal communication skills • Ability to work within and meet established deadlines • Punctual • Mechanically inclined • Strong problem-solving skills • Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving history, and background check Education and Experience • High school diploma or GED equivalent • Ability to obtain a Radon Testing License from the State of Nebraska within the established timeline upon hire • Self-starter with a proven track record of working independently • Ideal candidates should have some experience in any of the following trades but not required: Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and/or Maintenance.
