If it's broke, fix it! A broken object is an opportunity for embellishment and personalization. Come learn fun techniques in textile mending with us! Honor the earth, its future inhabitants, and the people who worked hard to make your clothes and home furnishings. Reduce waste and consumption; extend the life of the objects you love. Join our Artist in Residence, Elaine Alder, in this FREE workshop. This workshop will cover mending of knit and woven textiles using a variety of techniques, including: Darning Patching Embroidery Needle felting Reuse options and creative problem solving Materials and tools will be provided, but feel free to bring an item from home if it needs mending, or any special materials you’d like to use. This workshop is open to 14+ (or 12+ if accompanied by an adult) and is capped at 10 participants. All levels of experience welcome.
