Charlie Petry of "Mush Love, Mycology" to host a beginner mushroom cultivation class at Monster Mushrooms supply facility! Come learn about getting started in growing every kind of mushroom. This class will focus on the most simple processes and how to quickly go from knowing nothing to having mushrooms grow right in your home. We will discuss pre-sterilized substrate bags, sterile procedures for inoculating these pre-sterilized bags, how to grow and care for your mushroom kit, harvesting procedures, and how to reset your grow bag for additional mushrooms after the first harvest/"flush". We will be setting up at MONSTER MUSHROOMS which is very exciting! We will overview Monster Mushroom's industrial autoclave and laminar flow cabinet. 2pm-3pm: Presentation on mushroom cultivationnii 3pm-5pm: LIVE interactive inoculation of an "All-In-One" Mushroom Growbag/kit to take home and watch grow. Time permitting we will allow those who order agar plates to inoculate those as well. Those who register will receive: (1) (3) lb Pre-Sterilized "All-In-One" Mushroom Grow Bag (1) Inflatable/reusable mushroom fruiting/humidity chamber (1) Culture/Spores for inoculating the "All-In-One Bag" after the presentation (for those that purchase the full kit). Options include Psilocybe cubensis for those who would like to grow for personal consumption within the state of Colorado. Other gourmet/medicinal options will be available as well such as Lions Mane, Chestnut, Blue Oyster, Golden Oyster, and others. The mushrooms aren't that different, but please let me know ahead of time if you'd rather grow a mushroom that is culinarily or medicinally revered. (1) IN THE WORKS: A certificate with Mush Love, Mycology's official signature showing you completed our level 1 course. This is a prerequisite for our level two course coming early 2023! *Inoculations should be for entertainment and learning purposes only. We do not guarantee success due to the inherit conditions of the venue that we are thankful to gather in. *Due to the amount of prep that goes into setting each person up for success, I can not offer refunds unless at least two weeks in advance.
