1 & 2 Point Perspective Drawing
This two hour workshop will delve into the theory and practice of linear perspective drawing as it pertains to the working artist. Eye level, vanishing points, position of view, picture plane, cone of vision, light and shadows will all be discussed, demonstrated and practiced. Students will practice by creating step by step diagrams of perspective principles, and how to apply these to direct observation sketching on location.
1 point, 2 point systems will be demonstrated. Students will practice drawing street scapes and buildings to look realistic.
Preferred Ages: 10 and above
Materials Provided: Each student will be provided with large sketch pad, drawing pencils, soft erasers, a straight edge and tote bag to keep materials.
For this workshop, we will be working in the studio; however, look for future workshops in which classses will be taught on sight within the village.
Parents are not required to attend during the event.
Light refreshments will be provided. If any food allergies are a concern, please give notice 48 hours prior to attendance to ensure allergy friendly options are available.
