There is a wealth of technology talent in the Des Moines area and amazing nonprofits that continue to help Central Iowa win awards as one of the country's best place to live. In an effort to team technical resources with the nonprofits of this community, we've created this event to bring the best of both worlds together. From May 4-6, these two groups will come together to build and implement tools to make the area's nonprofits operate more effectively so they can continue to focus on doing good. Through this event, we will learn a significant amount about the needs of local organizations and how we can work together to make this community stronger! Shoot us an email at [email protected] and we'll be happy to help! What precautions are you taking for the COVID-19 pandemic? During the event, we encourage the use of masks in crowded spaces and a distance of at least 6ft from other participants and attendees whenever possible. Masks and guidelines are subject to change based on mandates made by a governing entity. Why is my ticket $28.16 and not $25 as the event listing states? We use Eventbrite to handle our ticketing as there are several valuable features that they offer that are essential to managing an event of this nature. As we are a nonprofit, we're passing the ticket processing fees onto participants as to not impact our bottom line and, in turn, our event budget. The ticket gets you meals, drinks (including beer!), a shirt and snacks during the 48 hours. What's the refund policy? There are no refunds for this event. Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Yes. Your ticket is transferrable. If you are unable to make the event, please try to find someone to take your place and you can transfer your spot to them via Eventbrite. In the event you cannot find a replacement, please notify [email protected] ASAP so that we can open your spot to the waitlist. We base the number of nonprofit projects on our number of registered attendees. Having a full roster of participants is essential to delivering completed projects to our nonprofits during the event.
