Are you ready to take STEM Education to the next level? Your student(s) will get fired up about math and physics when they see it come to life in our state of the art wind tunnel at iFLY Charlotte! We will explore the STEM principles behind our wind tunnel technology through exciting lectures, test flights, and lab activities. Our highly trained STEM educator will guide your student(s) through an immersive, hands-on experience that consists of: Interactive Presentation Learn science and physics behind body flight, STEM tunnel operations, & discussion surrounding STEM careers Live Lab Demonstration (BALL DEMO) objects of different, size, weight, shape flown in tunnel for comparisonsLab Activity Immersive Experiment led by your educatorFlights - 2 flights + high flight per person comprehensive flying and safety training session & one-on-one supervision with a certified IBA InstructorAGENDA: please note timeline is subject to change based on final headcount of participants Purchase Terms:We are using Eventbrite for registration and payment processing.A waiver must be completed by a parent/legal guardian for anyone under the age of 18. 18+ can complete the waiver themselves. You will not be permitted to fly without a completed waiverPayment is refundable up to 7 days prior to your event. NO REFUNDS AFTER: 03/1/2023A Minimum of 15 Flyers are required to host a STEM Event. If there are less than 15 tickets purchased, the event will be cancelled and you will be refunded.This event registration will close at 12:00am on: 3/5/23. Yes, you are cool and YES YOU CAN SIGN UP! Just include yourself in your ticket purchase. Be aware that you may not be able to fly in the same flight session as your child(ren).Can I expect everyone from my group to be together throughout the entirety of the event? Groups may be split by age or family- There is no guarantee for every one of your guests to fly in the same sessionCan my child attend and participate in the STEM experiment/lab activity WITHOUT flying? Ages 3+ can fly with us; flying is a safe and fun activity for those young and old. To ensure you and your student(s) are able to fly, please see our physical restrictions and weight limit information in our waiver link below.Parents MUST complete a waiver at least 5 days before the event for themselves and students. Please wear comfortable clothing, and lace-up sneakers if you are planning to fly. No jewelry, metal clips in hair, or electronics are permitted in the tunnel. Feel free to bring a notebook for notes during the lecture and lab!
