Join us at C. Burr Artz Public Library for family storytime with author Shannon Earle! Shannon will read her new picture book The Penguin of Ilha Grande, answer questions, and sign copies of her book. Books will be available for purchase at the event. About the book: A man rescues a penguin off the coast of Brazil and finds a lifelong connection in this delightful true story about the power of friendship. About the author: Shannon Earle makes time to write between running her forest school business Forest Explorers, parenting her three daughters, and preparing piles of vegetables and foraged mushrooms on her family’s urban homestead in Silver Spring, MD. She is immensely proud that her narrative nonfiction picture book, The Penguin of Ilha Grande: From Animal Rescue to Extraordinary Friendship was published by Charlesbridge Publishing, released in January 2023. She writes fiction and nonfiction for children.
