Join us as we welcome the Boom Island Quartet to Faribault for an afternoon of music at The Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour. Doors: 2pm Show: 3pm Part of The Merner Concert Series. Boom Island String Quartet is a vibrant, multi-style ensemble drawing inspiration from classical, contemporary and folk playing styles to reimagine the iconic string quartet with bold, modern flavor. Boom Island String Quartet was founded in 2015 by four women who share a passion for bringing high-quality live chamber music to all. With a diverse repertoire spanning from classical favorites to popular songs, the group is equally at home in off-beat locations such as cafes and coffee shops as it is in the concert hall. Current personnel include Martha McDermott (violin), Maya Lehmann (violin), Alexandria Mueller (viola) and Alia Abboud (cello).
