Join UF/IFAS Extension Polk County and Lakeland Water Utilities for a class on native plants that grow well in central Florida yards and what invasive plants to watch for and remove. The class will be held in the picnic shelter at Loyce Harpe Park (covered and shaded). Following the class, a guided van tour of Se7en Wetlands will be available to ten people. The tour will feature native plantings that the City of Lakeland has installed around the property as well as problematic invasive plants that they are dealing with. This workshop is presented by UF/IFAS Extension Polk County and City of Lakeland Water Utilities. If any accommodations are needed, please contact Julie Schelb at 863-519-1068 or [email protected]. Requests should be made as soon as possible but at least ten days prior to the scheduled meeting. We collect demographic information to ensure equitable access to Extension programs by all of our audiences. Each individual's participation is optional.
