The Wireless Installer Technician will be installing roof mounted antennas as well as Wireless Access Points (WAP) and wireless routers in the customers home. Along with new installs, the technician will be troubleshooting existing customer connections with assistance from our Technical Support. Candidate will be responsible for updating work orders, tickets, and documenting all steps and procedures. The preferred candidate must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a pre-employment background screen and drug test. Further, this candidate could also be in the office at times performing customer service, therefore should possess clear communication skills and speak pleasantly and professionally over the phone. Responsibilities Installing wireless dishes and running cable Conducting site surveys, determining the best position for our equipment Educating customers, reviewing the basics of how to use our service Support and troubleshooting of wireless network issues Documenting all steps and procedures in a ticket Assist in the planning, design, configurations, deployment and support of wireless infrastructure Demonstrate safe and responsible work habits to avoid injury and property damage Skills Reliably be to work on time each day Ability to produce detailed documentation Intermediate network troubleshooting Basic understanding of RF technology Communicate technical information to non-technical audience in a friendly professional manner Basic computer skills Physical Requirements 18+ years of age Lift up to 75lbs Access and climb on roofs, attics, or crawl spaces Enter confined spaces while bending, twisting, and reaching Ability to perform job from high places Work and travel in inclement weather year round Ability to climb towers is a definite plus Willingness to learn Proximity to the office in Allendale is a plus
