Afternoon, Evening, and Overnight Childcare Offered

I am a mother who’s children are all grown. Now I would love to care for yours! I worked full time in Early Childhood Education, in both Illinois and Ohio, before becoming a mother myself. I have also spent the past 20 years babysitting for all of the children of just about everyone I know. Now that I have some extra time on my hands I’m happy to extend my services to a broader audience. When I was working, and had a young child, I always struggled to find childcare in the later afternoon, evening, and especially overnight hours. I was personally never able to earn the shift differential I desperately needed for working nights as I never had reliable overnight childcare. If I can help someone else earn the money that they need while their children sleep, or relieve the stress of trying to get to the daycare before 6:00 (when they are actually supposed to work until 6:00… been there!), I would love to do that. ❤️ Both regular scheduled care and/or daily drop ins (space permitting) are incredibly welcome! I have two extra bedrooms for overnight stays, a yard for some outdoor play, a large kitchen for meals and snacks, and a living room large enough for learning and play time. There is also a playground about a block from my home, suitable for toddlers and big kids alike, including swings, a climber, a basketball court, and plenty of space to run and play. I live in a very safe, low traffic, family oriented neighborhood. In case allergies are a concern I do have a small female beagle dog (she’s only 23 pounds and she LOVES children!!!) and an older cat. I will happily provide a wide variety of references for both my character and child care abilities. Many of them you may even already know yourself as they are local businesses owners, popular local musicians, and maybe even your favorite local bank manager.
