Spending is out of control

Believe it or not, American Workers paid NO income tax up until 1912. Despite that, our federal government was able to build all kinds of things, like roads, bridges, etc., without gouging The American People. What happened ?? Now that they've been taxing the shit out of us for 110 years, they never seem to have enough money. I have a serious question: When did our federal government get the idea that spending money we don't have, is a good idea ?? **Spending money we don't have and going deeper into debt, is usually how people get themselves into serious financial trouble, right? So why is our government doing it ?? Let's say you have a new baby: Your baby instantly owes more than $90,000 as soon as they came out of the womb. You can thank your federal government for that. Something needs to be done about this shit. Obviously, our federal government has no intention of giving up their credit card, they just keep raising the limit.
